2 FA Girls Wildcats Centres for the Club!!

FANTASTIC NEWS – please share, share, share!!

After the success of our first FA Wildcats Centre last year, where we got 40 girls aged 4 to 11 playing football for the first time, the club is delighted that has been selected by The FA to host 2 centres!!
We have a 20 year history of getting girls playing football and we are pleased that the 2 centres will help us to create new teams and get girls active.

The existing centre will be continue to be Tuesdays 6.00 til 7.00 at Sneyd Community Association and our Long Lane ground. The centre will have a Level 2 coach with years of experience in then female game.
Our second centre will be Wednesdays 6.00 til 7.00 at Cheslyn Hay Primary School. The new centre will have a Level 2 female coach. This will start on Wednesday, April 4th.
It is free the first week and then £2 thereafter, Each new player will have a free signed children’s football book signed by local author Paul Mullins.

The focus is on fun and creating friendships as well as learning new skills.

The sessions are for girls aged 4 and above in a fun filled environment. We create teams for the girls aged 6 and above and already have a team ready to go in September.

The Club is a sister club to Birmingham City Ladies FC and our girls teams benefit from free coaching sessions with international players, tickets to games and tournaments.
Last night our U13s Panthers girls were privileged to have England international Kerys Harrop carrying out a training session for them.

The FA have a poster – shown below – at St George’s Park, detailing how important to a team the goalkeeper is.
The keep in the orange is Taylor Homer of our U12s Wildcats and a very improving keeper at our goalkeeper’s centre.

Our U11s Lionesses Girls are looking for 3 girls, including a goal keeper, to join their squad ready for going to 9 aside next season.

Football for All – more players wanted.

The Club has the following in place : –

A Boys Development Centre (for boys aged 4 to 6 starting their football journey) that was created 22 years ago.

An FA SSE Wildcats Centre (formerly our Girls Academy for girls aged 4 to 6 who are new to the game) that was started 20 years ago.

A Goalkeeping Centre (for keepers of any club aged 5 and above) that was started 8 years ago.

14 girls teams and 3 ladies teams – the largest girls club in the country.

An FA Soccer Mums Centre (formerly our ladies veterans training for girls aged 16+ who want to play socially) where we were the first club in the Region to set this up 3 years ago.

FA Disability Hub status after setting 2 teams up 2 years ago and striving to work with hearing impaired and vision impaired players.

Wellbeing Football (for any adult that wants to get fit in a social atmosphere) that was set up a year ago.

2 men’s and 1 women’s Veterans teams that have been in place for 3 years.
As well as nearly 70 existing boys and girls teams!!

Wyrley Juniors – current National FA Community Club of the Year and the only club to win a national award twice!

A great result from our Ladies Veterans Cougars team last night – a. 7-0 win against Stafford Town with all the girls wearing odd socks in support of World Down Syndrome Day.

The sessions are for any player that wants to get fit, meet people or just have a kickabout in a friendly no-pressure atmosphere.

They are our thirty second squad to be showcased on here.

The new coach is Mark Smallman and he will be arranging training sessions very shortly.

Football for girls aged 4 to 11.

The Club has 2 FA SSE Wildcats Centres for girls aged 4 to 11.

Tuesdays 6 til 7 at Sneyd School/Long Lane and Wednesdays 6 til 7 at Cheslyn Hay Primary School.

The fun filled sessions are for girls starting out in the game and are carried out by Level 2 coaches. We create teams for the girls who are 6 as at September 1st and have already placed older girls attending into existing teams.

We have 12 girls so far playing on each of the nights.

Free the first week, then only £2 thereafter AND a free signed girls football book signed by local author Paul Mullins.

The Club has a 20 year history of providing football for girls and we want more girls to enjoy the experience.

The club will be creating at least 5 new teams from its Girls Wildcats Centre and Boys Development Centre next season. We are looking for the following to help a to achieve this: –

Boys and girls aged 6 to join our friendly, progressive, ambitious and extremely successful club.
Managers and coaches – no experience necessary, just a desire to develop themselves and young people. The club provides the cost for coaching badges.

We are also looking for teams to join our ranks.

Quick summary of the club: –

* The largest football club in West Midlands and Staffordshire with nearly 70 teams and 900 players
* The largest girls club in England
* The current holders of the FA National Community Club of the Year (the only club to win the award twice)
* a registered charity and holders of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (equivalents to an MBE)
* Sister club to Birmingham City Ladies FC
* holders of the Staffordshire Community Club of the Year for any sport

COMMITTED PLAYERS WANTED!

Wyrley Wanderers U18 Ladies finished 3RD in the Shropshire/Staffordshire U18 League last season.

We train and play at the excellent Ormiston NEW Academy facilities in Fordhouses, WV10 6SE.

We are looking for a Goalkeeper and outfield players to add to our experienced squad for the 2018/19 season. If you are interested please contact Simon on 07974 669761.
